The Rock Island County Master Gardeners have created a new 2010 Garden Calendar featuring beautiful four color seasonal pictures of flowers, plants and nature scenes taken by Master Gardeners, gardening tips, and coupons. The 12 month calendars sell for $10 each with proceeds benefitting Extension's local horticulture and gardening programs for the community. Holiday Floral Design Showcase & Art Opening, Sunday, November 22, Rock Island County Extension, Milan
On Sunday, November 22, from 1 to 3 pm, Rock Island County Extension will be holding a Holiday Floral Design Showcase and Art Opening. Doors open at noon. Enjoy complimentary pastry from Panera Bread, coffee, hot cocoa and tea. Sample Thanksgiving side dish recipes from University of Illinois Extension's Wellness Ways and pick up a recipe booklet. Preview the stunning photo display of the images from the 2010 Rock Island County Master Gardener Calendar. At 1:00, renowned floral designer, Damian Parizek of Milan Flower & Greenhouse will demonstrate fresh ideas on how to create stunning floral designs for the upcoming holidays.
